Songwriter and vocalist Jacob Lee has released the deeply personal track, ‘Sorrow’ via Philosophical Records. The single was premiered through Rolling Stone India and produced by Matthew Bartlem.
Jacob Lee shed a little light on the origins of the track, “‘Sorrow’ came from one of the most difficult nights of my life. The song describes in detail the night itself from two different perspectives. I think anyone who’s been through intense heartache will relate to this one”
Recently, Jacob Lee has been on a journey to step inside the minds of others, focussing on the idea that we could all spend a little more time learning empathy for each other. The resulting lyrics drive home this concept as he pivots between two points of a breakup.
This isn’t the first time the Australian pop singer has chosen introspection over external influences. In his single, ‘Conscience’, we witness him strive for self-understanding – exploring both the written works of literature as well as nature.
