Trunky Juno returns with his second offering ‘Patrick Swayze’

Trunky Juno returns with his second offering entitled ‘Patrick Swayze’. This dreamy lo-fi ballad is crammed full of hooks and characterful vocals, with a warped 80’s romantic vibe at its core.
Wobbling synthetic textures held down by the classic Trunky Juno thumping Electric Bass dominate ‘Patrick Swayze’ throughout, building beautifully towards a chorus which bursts from the speakers in a distorted cacophony of euphoric proportions.
Dated pop culture references create a backdrop for some instantly connecting lyrics, as the track centers around a theme of people viewing their own lives through an idealistic lense of music and film. It’s a nostalgic trip for the listener, and the best work from Trunky Juno to date. The lyrical style on display here may remind some listeners of artists such as Father John Misty and MGMT.
This time round we have Jasper the Labrador taking center stage in the artwork, though Trunky and Bear (Pictured in ‘Small Town’ artwork) remain extremely close, speaking every other day.
