Berlin-based DJ-producer duo twocolors return with new single ‘Bloodstream’, out 12th March. ‘Bloodstream’ blends powerful horns, a deep, chunky bassline and the most infectious of drops into a truly undeniable dance track. It marks their first single release since the world-conquering ‘Lovefool’, a track that has amassed in excess of 865 million streams and counting.
“‘Bloodstream’ is a song about a broken relationship.” twocolors explain. “When every cell in your body craves for the other person, and you are going through the motions. You just can’t do without. ‘I’m just going through withdrawals’, ‘Bloodstream’ reminisces about a love lost, aching for one more shot to feel alive again.”
Their previous single “Lovefool”, an infectious rework of the track of the same name by The Cardigans, peaked at #4 in UK Shazam Discovery and reached #21 in the Global Shazam Chart with over 3.2 million tags, trending Top 20 in over 30 countries. It is officially Certified Gold in Canada, France, Germany and Poland, Platinum in Finland, Double Platinum in Austria, Switzerland and Triple Platinum in Russia. With a total of over 865 million global streams, the pair’s monthly listeners have now skyrocketed to over 7 million. The combined video streams also sit at over 62 million while Spotify has chosen it for mint’s Best Dance Songs of 2020.
With its infectious groove and hypnotic melody, ‘Bloodstream’ is the perfect follow-up to the dancefloor colossus that is ‘Lovefool’.
