Pop meets electro with Hanne Mjoen’s latest single and music video ‘Emotional Fever’ via Physical Presents. The songstress has been giving us powerful dancefloor tracks packed with emotional truth and we are finding an exhilarating experience listening to all these thought-provoking hits. Previously featured in an interview with Sound Lab with the single ‘Hell With You’ we mentioned that the songstress: “latest single shimmers alone with its lyrical intensity.” This track serves the same energy, and we are obsessed as we wait in anticipation for her upcoming EP release later this year.

We asked the songbird to describe her sound as if it was a painting, she shared: “It would probably be a pretty chaotic picture, I think people would define it as abstract art. The colours I would use would be cold, dark and a bit hopeful; Blue, black, white, and dark green. I think you would have to look at the painting a couple of times before finding your meaning of it.”

We could not agree more with her statement listening to this latest track, it is packed with emotionally complex emotions but somehow she manages to mask these intense feelings with undeniably upbeat and lively electronics. Hanne Mjøen’s dramatically stellar performance in her latest music video for the track encompasses those feelings of being uncertain and anxious about what the future holds. We could not be more delighted for acts like this to speak their mind with finesse and rhythm.
