Music producer and singer John Thacker is on a mission to make his name known as a queer R&B artist that creates immersive sounds that make feel like they are in a peaceful haze within the first few minutes of listening. His debut EP The Recall received praise after receiving airplay on BBC introducing along with a live performance for UNILAD sound.  Now the singer has announced a new EP John Joseph via Colour Me In Records, and we are honoured to present it with our Sound Lab readers today. Subtle, refined and snare fuelled, this EP shares John’s struggles with toxic masculinity and accepting his sexuality. The EP will be officially released tomorrow, but in the meantime, you can enjoy it  here

John shares: “As a queer artist, this EP feels like the first project where I’ve felt empowered by being part of the LGBTQIA+ community. I feel like I’ve reached a point as an artist where I’m exploring myself, my masculinity, my sexuality through my music for the first time, and I hope that will resonate with my listeners.”
