Neacal shared his second single ‘Out of Control’ on August 16th, 2024 via Neacal Music. The single received support from acclaimed tastemaker NOTION Magazine. He started his artistic career as the founder of one of the most popular instrumental progressive/post-rock bands from Eastern Europe, boasting nearly 5 million streams across platforms and tours across Europe and Asia. 

Neacal redefined his sound, crafting orchestral pop songs to heal trauma and reinvent his musical language. Influenced by the brooding orchestral pop of Woodkid, Agnes Obel and Owen Pallett, Neacal has been a composer for over 16 years, most of which he spent specialising in instrumental music. 

‘Out of Control’ is a song that moves away from the wonder of its predecessor ‘The Bell’ towards a far more sombre emotional landscape. It’s a wintery ballad with cinematic strings and heartfelt horns. The song’s instrumental arrangement provides an intricate yet delicate foundation for Neacal’s poignant vocals, overflowing with emotion as he sings about pulling oneself out of a dark place. The single is accompanied by a stunning lyrical video that features tranquil natural landscapes with snippets of mysterious and esoteric shots throughout.

Neacal shared: “This song was born during one of my most severe episodes of depression, but despite that fact, it’s a hymn of hopefulness and acceptance. Here my suppressed part expresses its realisation that it is not going to dissolve into nothingness as previously expected, and that there’s a chance it will gain life and freedom along the way. In ‘Out of Control’, it finds itself still lurking in the shadows, but now it inevitably crawls towards the light, even if that might be the light of an explosion. Things will get better, even if they might get worse before that happens.”
