Since we last wrote about the fun-loving musician Super Plage (read our feature on ‘Forêt magique’ here), the French-Canadian has released a new-years-eve-themed single ‘NYE’ and most recently unveiled another quirky number titled ‘Laurence’.

What do these three songs have in common, you ask? Despite making us feel like we returned from a great night out only to begin missing the experience we just had, they are preludes to his forthcoming album Magie à minuit, which is slated for release on the 31st of March under Lisbon Lux Records.

Like a kid watching his red balloon floating in the cerulean sky, my attention was caught in Super Plage’s psychedelic bubble. There is this playfulness to his approach to music that is infectious. And it rubs off on us, taking us back to the reckless abandon of childhood where we stay for the duration of his latest record.
