Who isn’t looking for a little bit of retro goodness at the moment? Sleepy Tom’s recently released single ‘Call My Name’ ticks all the right boxes as Dawn Pemberton’s vocals add that extra elevating glow. The single is the first to be released from Sleepy Tom in nearly 3 years and we’re hoping it’s a sign of the producer making his return to the industry.

In the years leading up to the pandemic, the artist was making quite a name for himself, having collaborated with Diplo on the platinum-certified and cheerful single, ‘Be Right There’ while the video for his single, ‘Seeing Double ft. Tonye’ won the Best Post-Production Award from iHeartRadio. We wouldn’t be surprised if ‘Call My Name’ earned similar success as the funky grooves create an infectious melody ready for the dancefloor.
“‘Call My Name’ started out last spring on a Zoom session with Parker Bossley–he helped me write this forthcoming EP. I had been wanting to make more uplifting music, and this song ended up being the framework for the sound I was after. We had a blast recording with the amazing [Vancouver-based] Dawn Pemberton, as well as the Vancouver Youth Choir, both of who really made this song come to life!” – Sleepy Tom tells us about the creation of his latest single.
