Indie-folk duo, teepee share their melancholic song ‘parallel world’

What do you do when the feeling is gone? Dream-pop and indie-folk duo teepee have shared their emotionally charged ‘parallel world’ via Springstoff on 10 January. The single heralds the approach of their upcoming album, Where the Ocean Breaks which will be available on Friday, 31 January.

While acts such as Daughter, Bon Iver, and Aurora spring to mind when hearing the duo, they allow themselves to seek inspiration in the slightly more obscure aspects of  RY X, Nick Drake, Son Lux, and Sigur Rós. Embracing the melancholic, the two have found a rhythm which appears to attract the attention of big names in the industry including Son Of Marketing and Mr Suicide Sheep.

“For me, out of many other places, I found my parallel world in the ocean. While living in the Basque Country, I had the chance to go to the beach almost every day, sometimes learning to surf, or only to watch the waves. The place where the ocean breaks thus became very special for me – a place of peace and concentration,” Miroslav tells us.
