Hot off the heels of her recently released Home EP, Daada has released the music video for the flamboyant focus track ‘Raise The Roof’.

Home is Daada’s sophomore EP, and was released on June 21st, via Daada Music. Daada is renowned for her ability to merge sounds from Africa and Latin America, with most of Home being written and produced in Nairobi, Kenya. Her first two singles – which includes ‘Raise The Roof’ – received editorial support from Spotify and Boomplay, praise from tastemaker CLASH Magazine, and radio play on Amazing Radio’s Charlie Ashcroft and Reprezent 107.3FM.

‘Raise The Roof’ tells the passionate story of how opposites attract. Daada combines English and Spanish to create an exciting picture of this connection. ‘Raise The Roof’ is equally soothing as it is energising, with Daada’s silky vocals effortlessly intertwining with the melody and punchy beat.  

In the music video, Daada is the focal point as she playfully dances among a lush, natural, green landscape while the sun sets. Daada is whimsical and cheery with her movements and facial expressions, wonderfully illustrating the fun, lighthearted nature of ‘Raise The Roof’.  

One thing is clear in the music video, Daada is just being herself and is fully immersed in her environment and the atmosphere of ‘Raise The Roof’. She’s adorned in a neon orange outfit which further emphasises the fun-loving nature of the track. Daada’s energy is magnetic as she’s just being herself and having fun.
