Californian electro-pop duo Exes have recently released ‘Cain,’ a deeply personal track centred around an event in singer Allie McDonald’s life – the passing of a close friend she was never lucky enough to meet in person.

Although the mood of the track is sombre, it is layered and rich, with vocals lovingly wrapped in lush synth textures.
